Hi Im 3 months post eCo2 laser resurfacing and I feel my results were getting better but now it appears my scar is deeper than it was even before the procedure is this just part of the healing still? Is there any hope that it will start to come back to the surface I was told not to judge my results for atleast 6 months and Im only halfway there but Im scared theyre getting worse.
I dont have any before but heres what it looks like directly under light I feel the redness makes it look even worse under direct light as well
Redness definitely accentuates scars because it draws "borders" via color and draws "depth" via color. Many times redness makes some things a bit transparent as well in bright light.
As for whether it's worse or not, I usually don't believe that it gets worse first then better for things like laser or others but it's possible it may even out over time.
Which scar the temple?

Hmm. Without a before it's hard to tell.
@harmlessboy1441 yeah the temple is the one that was treated it didnt look too bad about a month after the treatment but was still red and probably a little swollen now its kind of a mess
Here it is in non harsh lighting
It's true that in non harsh lighting it looks almost invisible and in harsh lighting with shadows or borders it looks pronounced but that's just the nature with scars in general. The temple is a delicate area with almost no fat to work with. But if it's atrophic in nature which it looks like, only subcision or filler is known to help for some people. I don't think resurfacing techniques will help, at least not for any atrophy. Even the dermabrasion I got that helped any deeper scars was because he just went very deep but it was not perfect either.
If it really bothers you, you probably just have to find a good doctor that deals in subcision and test a small portion of it and see if it shrinks or not. Maybe a filler would help I don't know.
