Had a small mole on my nose that I was born with - I regretfully had removed back in 2015 by terrible dermatologist. It left me with a deep indented scar.

Had countless microneedling and chemical peel treatments by estheticians with minimal improvement.

Saw a different derm in Feb 2022 who recommended Dermabrasion over laser. Followed all of her instructions but heeled horribly. Small improvement in divot but scar appears wider, permanently pink/red (flushed) and waxy/shiny.

Im devastated as fist I had a small mole, then a hole without discoloration, now a hole with discoloration and weird texture.

I got filler placed restalyne silk from the dermatologist but it was literally gone within the week. I guess my body broke it down quickly.

considering permanent filler - Bellafil? Other filler recommendations that last long as I have already spent so much money

Im wearing makeup in pics.

Thanks for sharing. This is one of those stories that teaches us that the less you do the better sometimes. But...you're in it now, so, let's talk about next steps.

1. Ok maybe not a next step now that I think about it. First, I should mention that you can just stop with treatments and accept it. This goes along with that "doing less is better" rule. Plus, I'm sure you notice this much more than other people.

2. If you are going to keep treating it, filler seems like what would be the obvious step to me too, unless I'm forgetting about a treatment that would work better. If you're doing filler, I always like the idea of using your own fat. Then it's something you won't reject or are likely to have issues with. Permanent fillers sound interesting too based on your experience thus far, but jeez louise, make sure you get that done carefully and with the best of the best person if you decide to do that so this situation doesn't just get worse. And I'd say, err on the side of less filler. You can always put a tiny bit more, but you can't take permanent filler out.
