Hello ya'll!

I'm Mocca! English isn't my native language so pardon me if there are any grammar errors or anything below

I've been lurking a for some time on this forum but right now there's something I need to know. I've learned not to always trust aesthetic clinic for some questions because most of them operate based on $$ only. I always need to ask second opinions from other clinics & the internet + my own analysis.

So a little bit background, I got some acne scars on my face. I've done a lot of things like chemical peel, dermaroller, co2 fractional lasers, and subcision (lately lasers & subcision always combined). My scars are reduced a lot but they are still visible depending on how good my skin condition currently is (hydrated or not etc). I'm about 30 and my skin was bad. I tried HIFU once and it worked great on my face. I planned to do it again while also dieting & losing my weight overall, including my chubby face

Now to the actual question, how will weight loss, especially losing chubby face affect my acne scars? I've heard that losing fat on face would make acne scars appear worse? I'm afraid that my acne scars progressions would go to waste if I do subcision + laser again if it simply would go worse when I lose fat on my face. I'd rather lose all my chubby fat first then continuing my acne scars treatment again after I got my desired face, if that was the case.

Also, does anybody ever do HIFU here? How does HIFU affect acne scars on face? I don't plan to combine it at the same day but I've been thinking of doing HIFU like 2 weeks after subcision + laser for example. I also plan to combine my HIFU with mesotherapy for more effective & efficient improvements. Does it affect acne scars? Or laser & subcision?

Thank you so much for anyone who read & willing to answer! Cheers!

Good questions.

I know that when people lose weight, sometimes wrinkles can look more pronounced, so I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing was true for scars.

As far as HIFU, I'm curious to hear how it goes if you decide to try it. I don't have personal knowledge of its effectiveness though.

The good news is you said you've seen good improvement in your scars. Can you post a sort of "before" and "after/now" pic so we can see?
