6 days of being pink?? So much for no down time.. Is it pink where people are going to stare and wonder what the hell happened to me.. or pink like I was out in the sun too much? There's no way I could take that many days off work every time I went and had it done.. Taking a Friday off each time isn't a big deal..

After looking at every other treatment available I think I am going to opt for Fraxel this summer. If u have seen my post on the keloid scar on my cheek then u have seen the extent of scarring its not that bad except for that damn keloid which I will probably have to get cut out before doing the Fraxel.
I guess if I have a 20% improvement even it would be worth the money. Hell I would probably pay anything for smoother skin. I just am scared to get something done that could really mess my skin up, which is why I am going to do the Fraxel after I am done w Accutane unless I see something else bythat time that looks better which I doubt.
I take from everybody's posts that u get the laser done in a series of five but that u can keep getting them done with a few month break in between. If I see good results I would have little problem w getting it done as many times as it took until my face looks better.

Same boat. Swelling was pretty much down yesterday. Was still pretty tender yesterday too, but today feels fine. Still red, but it's fading. ok this is what the derm suggested ... he put me on tetracycline .... and wants me to come in for cooltouch (4 sessions for 1000 dolalrs) and said id really be satiesfied with the results on my scars and that it would be cheaper than fraxel and id be just as happy .... as far as fraxel goes they only go up to level 12 ... they have the zimmer machine and a lady said that theyve seen people alot worse than me get 50 percent improvements with fraxel

I was in my late 30's at the time. I recieved no visable improvment to my acne scars. The level of improvements after 4 Fraxels was pretty substantial (maybe 30% to my worst scars ) I had a 5th 2 months ago and that boosted the improvements even more
Just had a touch up with a filler (restylane) and now I am at 75% improvement in my worst scars. Fraxel Plus a filler has produced the results i wanted now I need to see how long it will last. I will have more fraxels next year and maybe do some sculptra. If I maintane 60% or more improvements 3 months from now I will consider this a success.

The cost per Full face Fraxel varies greatly. I have a special with my doctor since my photo is used on her Before/after on the web site. I get it done for $500 which is a No Brainer to have it done. I dont think it is worth more then $1000 per treatment and lots of doctors charge even more. If you can get it done for around$700 per treatment and can handle the aggresive high laser settins it probably would be worth it and you should be able to find a doctor to do it at that lower cost.

Yes it is tempory I paid $300 for the .4cc Touch up syringe and if I get decent added volume over the next 3 months then it is worth it (marginaly)
Of course a longer term solution is better such as lots more fraxels and or perm fillers or maybe sculptra. The Restylane was a "quick fix" and nothing more
just something to bulster the Fraxel improvements which it did now we need to see for how long. The Fraxel improvements are for all practical purposes perm.
