Advice on Scar Treatment

Hi

I have acne scars and did 2 sessions (or maybe 3) of laser treatment over 10 years ago, but didn't complete the recommended course because it was making my face really red.

Recently, I was thinking if I should try to go for scar treatment again since there seems to be a lot of new treatments available. Have been reading about INFINI, CO2 laser and subsicion/filling on this forum and wondering if they would be useful for me.

Below photos of my acne scars. Should I go to a dermatologist to get one of the scar treatments above, or just do periodic skin peeling at home? Another thing which bothers me is that I have quite large pores. Are there any treatments for this that have been helpful?

Thanks everyone!

I feel your pain bro because I have similar texture especially when I get flares.

You have some rolling stuff, icepicks and pores going on in general. I think it's not that deep maybe because of laser, but it's still something I would improve if I were you.

To answer your question no and no. You shouldn't go to a dermatologist for surgical stuff (usually) and peels (at home) won't do much.

The best course of action would probably be to explore subcision for the rolling elements (with or without filler) with an experienced doctor.

You should probably research whether Rullan has some sort of trio treatment to help the texture or to blend the edges more which is below and thanks to gynoscar for showing the progress is really helpful imo. You can really see how his texture is blended and this would be a great outcome.

Also if you do anything see if the doctor can do a test first, depending on the procedure to limit the reaction risks. Some procedures are not easy to test but for some things maybe the doctor can test your reaction to certain peel etc.

Hey man I think you could really use some v beam for the redness . Is it just stay red or do you have flushing that comes and gos ? Your scars aren™t bad to be honest . For the pores I tried intracel RF micro needling in the past and it has helpd with some large pores .if you go with subcision with filler I highly recommend getting very smalll amounts of filler as filler can cause a whole list of other issues by itself
