You have cystic acne as far as I can tell and you're a definite candidate for Accutane. I don't know how Nigeria handles prescriptions or anything like that but if I were you I'd (safely) do anything I could to get hands on it to control your acne before any scarring. Surely depending on the rules/laws in Nigeria, even Accutane is sold from India companies online as far as I know. Just to give you a heads up if you are not very aware of dosage, I, myself, for two separate courses (I think 6 months each but can't remember) at 40mg a day. The range is usually 20mg, 40mg or 80mg a day as far as I remember but 80mg is for very severe cases and could heighten risks. I would suggest looking into a course or two of 40mg each.

Please dont be offended but can I see your successful treatment so far so as to convince my parents because our Nigeria parents believe in proves before taking a step I would have bought it my self if I was financially stable but due to our country rate of unemployment we depend on our parent for the mean time so please If you have a throwback picture of when your acne was bad and how u successful treated it please it would be great for me as to convince them acutane is the best option so far

I'm not offended and I'm sorry for your situation in Nigeria but there is no way to personally prove it's effectiveness any more than a simple Google search or a doctor can attest.
Accutane is the strongest and most effective acne treatment that exists. In most cases it should eliminate or reduce your acne by either 75% or 100% the first course and 100% permanently if it works. A small group of people don't see it work but the vast majority do, including myself.
I urge you to get on a 40mg course once daily as soon as possible. Irregardless of the cost it should be the best investment you can.make before things get worse.
The drug starts working immediately, within a day, so you can see for yourself. Doctors usually try other drugs first since accutane is so strong but my biggest regret was not taking it sooner while my doctor played around and I was scarring. You instantly feel oil reduce by 90% and any acne start healing immediately assuming it works for you. You will feel endlessly more comfortable.

I and many others are glad that Accutane exists.
You dont usually get it without a permission from the doctor (maybe there are other ways to get it via the Internet trade - dont know how difficult)
Are there dermatologists in Nigeria?
They should know, how to get this medicament.

My hunch is that Nigeria isn't set up with an FDA in the same magnitude as the US so I would presume he'd have to order it online perhaps. Sure if he can get it prescribed through a dermatologist that would be great too. Truth be told so long as the pills are "Roche" which I believe manufactures Accutane there are legit overseas pharmacies particularly in India based on recollection.

They are dermatologist here in Nigeria but most of them works with organic/natural products which only help keeps the acne under control it is very difficult around my country to hear about acutane it was from this forum I got the idea that there was a drug called acutane that can treat acne effectively

It (usually) cures the acne. It works directly on the oil production/etc. Sometimes some acne may linger (20%) and could require a 2nd course though as it did me. I took like 2 courses (4-6 months each course) at 40mg once a day.
Sometimes a small minority doesn't respond to it and I find that weird, but the vast majority gets clear right away within a month or two you're usually mostly clear. On day 1-2 you feel oil stopping and your acne healing and you see it. In US, they usually require blood tests to monitor some metrics and also you need a prescription but like I said in India they have a ton of companies online that sell it.
Just remember "Roche" sells it so to be sure you really want the pills/package to say Roche "accutane" and you probably want to start with 40mg dosage that's just my guess based on my own history, feel free to research/confirm.

My dad had also medium heavy acne, its also genetically and accutane completely cured my acne. I took it 9 years ago (for 4 months) and now I am 26 years old and get 2-3 tiny pimples a month.
Side effects: only very dry lips and dry hair (no problem with lip butter and hair conditioner).
Dont be worried about the side effects (of course you should know about that) but many people have problems with dryness skin, hair, lips etc. which is the base of this drug
And there are different doses.
I keep my fingers crossed that you got it somewhere.

Please when you were on the acutane where your side effects severe because I was told that the side effects of the drug is severe and that is what am afraid of

I had no side effects the only thing I noticed is it messed with my metabolism slightly and my hair got slightly more easily falling out but not a lot just a little noticeable because it literally affects the oil on pores.
But I got no side effects and most people don't. I took two full courses.

It's effective but not as effective for severe acne. You could take two 20mg pills, assuming you clear it with someone like a doctor would be advised although like I said I don't know how Nigeria does medical stuff and I definitely know your acne needs treatment and I would recommend accutane for any moderate to severe acne as it's the only effective thing.
That said, I took two 20mg's daily for my second course, just two pills at 20mg each because I couldn't find the 40mg at pharmacy. Same thing as a single 40mg pill.
