Need help with treating my scars. Also, if anyone could provide a recommendation for a dermatologist to treat it in either the Boston or New York areas that would be so helpful. Thanks

Subcision and/or filler since they are larger and rolling than things like icepicks or boxcars. Get an experienced doctor in it though.

Thanks for the help! Is there any specific doctor you would recommend in the US? Preferably the northeast. Thanks.

Honestly that's been the struggle for many of us since the beginning of time. I'd simply say do a lot of research as best you can. The "botox docs" should be avoided. Those who do lots of procedures should be looked into moreso. Those who can show they do subcisions a lot etc.

I mean the board always touts people like Rullan in CA. Taylor in Utah. There's a lot of doctors that might be good in the outskirts of major cities/states. For example, in NY they mostly cater to botox patients but if you go to NJ you might find good doctors that go across the border for lower costs/rents but still cater to the area. Same with other areas.

I would just say try to pick more experience over doctors that seem like they really cater simply to women who wants botox or silly superficial treatments. A resume isn't bad to compare. The better the school, the longer they've been a plastic surgeon, the amount of procedures, the pricing (being reasonable) the friendliness and bluntness is all important. Good surgeons will shove you away if you aren't good for something. Bad ones will push anything. Usually you can tell. If they sound pushy or try to push silly ridiculous things like microneedling or peels for you run fast fast fast.

You might want to try subcision + juvederm and see how it works maybe. Given your scars are mostly just defined depressions, I don't think anything else would be as good of an attempt but I would get other opinions.

Do lots of research on TCA Cross. There are tons of threads regarding this treatment including its pros and cons.

subcision at a doctors to get a feel of it and then maybe you can needle at home if that works
