The lighting definitely changes the visuals somewhat so it's a bit hard to tell the exact sizes or shapes but generally to me it looks like some shallow icepicks/boxcars and mostly rolling scars or atrophy in the middle of the cheek.

Personally I believe if you can correct or improve the rolling aspects (particularly right side/middle) it would cast less shadows in different lighting and bother you a lot less, assuming improvement. The current standard for stuff like that is subcision and/or filler and I do personally believe the more experienced the doctor the better but it seemingly still boils down to whether the person responds well from it or not. It saddens me to say it but it may be hit or miss. Some people respond very well others see pretty much little or no improvement. It also may take time to see, not irrationally waiting but logically waiting a few months to see any growth.

The little nicks aka icepicks 'could' be treated with dermabrasion or ablative laser presumably but it might be immaterial or you may feel it's unneeded if you can improve the main atrophy/rolling scars. That's where the crux of the shadows, lighting, appearance is affecting you imo.

Scroll a few threads below to (which is one of the best examples of progress and response I've seen from just subcision within just about a year):Some progress pics of my severe scarring (Local doctors + Davin Lim)

Start with cannula Subcision and fractional co2 ultrapulse brand. Do atleast 3 sessions and evaluate if the rolling scar don™t improve. You can jump to Taylor liberator Subcision. Risk needs to be accounted.

Do you think this will be cheaper than doing cannula multiple times?

And do you know someone who does Taylor liberator subcision??

I just want them to do safe approach first being aggressive. Sometimes people with shallow scarring can improve with cannula as well. Again depends on money and risk tolerance.
