Hello,
did anyone tried minoxidil to hide acne scars with beard? Does deep rolling scne scars affect beard growth?

Ive considered this as well since all of my scarring is on my jaw. However, I dont believe hair grows in scar tissue and that has been my personal experience. If you can grow the surrounding hair thick enough it should definitely cover up your scars. Id be wary of minoxidil on the face though because apparently it destroys the collagen on your face, although I dont believe there is any study showing this is true just anecdotal evidence. Combining minoxidil, microneedling, and tretinoin should give you the fastest results for beard growth.

Ive heard of this. Covering acne scarring with a beard is not uncommon from people I have personally met.
Yes, minoxidil will increase hair growth at a site but this requires application daily. Microneedling and minoxidil application after boasts its effectiveness by 50%.
I dont have a beard (female) but I do use minoxidil on my scalp, Ive use it consistently for 4-5years straight. Its great for increasing hair growth.
Note: I have no issue with hair growth, I just like increasing hair growth and reducing the chances of follicle death as I age.
I've been contemplating trying this to fill in my patchy facial hair but thecollagen growth thing sounds worrying if it's true especially since I just did a microneedling/laser session last week.I know it dries the skin which you can get around by moisturizing but any actual data that shows it inhibits collagen growth? If true, how long should I wait to try it out since I just had RF microneedling and laser done last week? Derm said I would still see results up to 6 months later and wouldn't want to screw any of that up.
