this is why my face looks worse after visiting Dr Rullan. He performs subcision very aggressively and does the full face. I only had a few tethered scars but after visiting him my scars seemed to have worsened. It looked like the scars that were stretched out and didnt look as bad all molded together and created even worse shadowing. Reading what I linked above makes sense of why my scars look worse now.

he is old enough to know all about this. that is the risk when we do acne scar treatments or dont do at all. like i say if the scarring is minor the risk is not worth the benefit but if you have scars overall and atleast moderately deep. sure the worse is it can get deeper but you dont have any other option if you want to see if it would heal but a good article to read

Yeah that was my thinking when I went for the treatment. I didnt like how it looked so I tried to improve but sucks that it made it worse. I wonder why he doesnt just do sub on areas where tethering is clear instead of full face where damage can be done to even unscarred areas of the face.

Yeah I mean that's where I'm at. My scars are "superficial" but they still bother me greatly and dilate to become disfigured with any stress, I think a byproduct of dermabrasion only curing the superficial layer basically.

That said, that's a fantastic read at least to understand in layman's terms the risk of hitting certain necessary anatomy. I think Rullan would certainly have experience in that, but yeah sadly maybe it was just too aggressive or was a risk that we all take when doing anything I guess like getsmart alludes to.

Not really sure what to do with a moderately linear scar on my cheek whether to subcise or not. Certainly it needs filler or something though. Good read though.

Yes for that scar you have to try localized Subcison to lift the area up and filler
