The photos cannot fully capture what my scars really look like, they are a little worse than the photos.  My scars have been getting worse since I turned 30.  Any suggestions on what I could do to improve the appearance of the scars are welcome.  thank you!

The good news is your scars are not deep and are relatively uniform.

When I was studying TCA CROSS, they did some people who had skin like yours with success, even though your scars are not necessarily "ice pick." I like TCA because it is minimally invasive too.

Also, your skin looks like something that laser could help with as well.

Bottom line is you can improve them if you get under the care of the right expert.

I would suggest tretinoin a few days a week to attempt to improve the textural. But Dan is right that they usually suggest a laser to improve shallow/textural issues. I am afraid of lasers personally but I've had textural issues and most doctors have suggested a laser, others have said leave it alone.

Tretinoin should help long term 2-3 days a week. There's also peel options but I'm not too familiar with those.

My suggestion to you is see 2 plastic surgeons and get their opinions, then come back and tell us what they suggested. It's pretty easy to figure out if most of us concur with a suggestion or think it's a "botox treatment" aka something that is mostly designed to improve little for money/cost to the doctor. That is your best bet. But in the meantime any derm will prescribe you tretinoin for texture it cost only $25/tube.
