As many of you know at Stanford Uni there have been some interesting advancements into limiting the human bodys scarring or even remove it completely. They are currently in contact with the FDA about human testing, this will most likely be accepted. However from thins point it usually takes between 6month to 18months. For full permission for production if all goes successfully. Im currently looking about getting some large excisions before the end of the year however following reading these promising medical papers I feel for the long term benefit it may be beneficial to wait untill this is available. However there are many unknowns what are you guys opinion on this.
If you think that the excisions will improve your appearance, then I think it's a good idea. If the new drugs work for scarring, then you can get rid of the excision scars from the procedure. If they don't work, then you're still better off. I am thinking of getting one or two spots on my face excised. Just the really large scars that I don't think would respond to other treatments.
