Sometimes if the scar tissues grows back, it might push your filler to the side so that it might introduce more shadows since the filler is now under the normal skin but the original scar doesn't have the support of filler anymore.

You should get some other filler. The recent filler is supposed to last 15-18 months. Mine has been there for more than 1 year and I can still feel it under my skin. I use juvemderm, which is probably 1000$ /ml.

Hey Jack817 Yes thats what I did also Juvederm Voluma the one thats supposed to last longest 12-18 months lucky if it lasted 1 month! lol

I also had a Subcision by one of the self crowned 1% acne scar doctors

and my Scars worsen after that, I know some other people that also had bad results too. For me it is a scamtreatment I got lumps that are there after a year. I must say that I also got radiesse, but I think that the sub causedthe damage. I think these scar treatments are mostly scam. And dr. Lim and BA are the biggest Scams in this industry.everything that gets cut under our skin probably grows back together, I dont know why scar tissue shouldnt grow back together even if you use filler. And if it grows back there is a possibility that It will grow with less or to much scar tissue and it might leave atrophy or lumps if to much scar tissue is produced. But these doctors wants us to believe that these scar bands will just stay there without connecting with other tissue which is complete Bs. And Jason2121 99 percent of these doctors are fraudsters and hence criminal I did all these procedures and still have severe scarring but not this...look at what they do different lihgitng and I wouldnt be surprised different person (at least I have guts to show my whole face despite being riddled with severe scarring)

I do think that is what happened to me too. I think the doctor cut everything beneath the skin because he did full face subcision when that was probably overkill. Im wondering if filler would be able to improve it on its own. I might ask my regular derm if she could maybe inject HA filler to see how it looks

It seems as if the subcision also made my skin less tight.

I have read some of your posts and I think what you need is therapy. Yes some doctors are sharks, especially in this industry (cosmetics), but they are not holding some magical technology in secret that is totally effective, they are working with the best they have access to.

Doctor Lim, from his youtube, seems passionate and informed about this topic, he makes sense and is interested. He goes out of his way to answer questions and educate on the nature of how scars work and how treatments work. If his treatments did not work for you, then perhaps we just don't ahve the current technology to deal with what you have (decades old, moderate scarring). You are also older, so your body has frankly diminished capability to change. Even those who never had acne (lucky genetic mofos) are not going to have good skin at that age.

Scars are not the be all end all, they are definitely not attractive don't get me wrong, they are a flaw, but focus on other traits that you can improve like your body, hair etc etc. What goes into attraction is more than one physical quality, its a multitude, andnot ONLY physical qualities matter (ofc they do matter).

I think you need to stop the denial and lashing out phase and move toward the acceptance phase.

Hey op, i am a noob kind of but from what i understand there are different types of subscision. some methods are newer and some are older. do you know which kind of subsicsion you got done? Also which doctor and where did you get it done at?

All good comments everyone thanks yes I try to accept but at the same time I just want to see improvement on the bigger scars and a little less wavy skin...But The Lim fellow that is a crook check out the majority of his reviews lately and I know people personally (many) who have been hurt and stung by him...Many obviously now avoid him for acne scars treatment and in general I would stay well clear of him.

Ps - I know I will always have moderate to severe scars I accept that the damage has been done but I just would dearly love if my bigger scars can say for instance be made more linear and smaller and I defnitely know scars are forever and permanent but there must be some way to make them perhaps smaller or less obvious...

Iwishedto post this here as my surgeon pointed this out for me so I thought some of you might want to express your opinions but I am looking forward to what they will say later in the year once my subcision settles in which has really provided no results as well as many other treatments I have done...aka the mid face zygoma - I mean when I pull upwards the scars do look better will anxiously wait to see what they say...

Would like some thoughts?

I use Restylane Cheek Fillers$480 for 1 ml, you may need more than 1 ml

I think let's wait and reassess later.

My thoughts were to lift the mid face zygoma, so the light falls on the cheek and scars reflect the light at a different angle.

That's just 1 suggestion. I am sure you will have a thinkabout it and see if it makessense to you.

Is this the first time you get that filler?

No ive got filler 4-5 times but it simply doesnt last longer than a month for me so the doctor suggested getting more ml like 4-6 ml will cost alot but have never got that much before? maybe will last longer and results will be better? any views?

Mate honestly you need help. Every thread I see you in you're criticizing a doctor you've never even seen. Do you really think this is the place to post things like 'its no wonder his wife left him' etc?

You're an interesting character, but I don't understand how a doctor on the other side of the world to you is able to live in your head so rent free?

That's all I'm going to say because I know you're suffering mental health issues, but I think its time someone called you out so that you may actually realise how psychotic this behaviour is. Its simply a waste of your time and your life to be on this weird crusade.

For the record I've seen Dr Lim and I had a pleasant experience. If you think I'm a marketing account (as you often label us) then look through all my posts over the years, there's some from years ago for example me enquiring about traveling to see a Dr in Singapore etc.

Maybe he overpromises results and I think that's true of any dr/beautician/surgeon, but anyone who has done research should go into these big doctors with realistic expectations, yourself included given the time you have spent here.

Its unfortunate you had a bad experience with Dr Emil but you should know that pretty much no one is going to get their desired results in one session. Similarly, you keep complaining about a lump, but how much can you attribute that to malpractice? There's always risk involved, and everyone's skin reacts differently - to me though it sounds like you'd rather just be a victim and put the blame of your bad fortune on someone.

Also in regards to this thread, I've had subcision 6 times from different doctors and really happy with the results, I didn't really notice results until after a few sessions though. There's tones of academic literature on the procedure over decades, has anyone here throwing out bad informationactually put it into google scholar and browsed the pages and pages of studies? I'm guessing no.
