Hello everyone. I've been reading this forum for nearly two months now, but I've registered an account yesterday. I've had acne since i was 13-14 years old. I still have it, but it's not as severe as it was before. Could you please give me some advise on how do i treat this scars. I know I should take my acne under control first, but these scars have really been depressing me for several months. What types of scars are these, and if there is a chance for improvement?
you have medium depth boxcars ice pick scars.
Tca cross for conservative approach and then laser at the end.
aggressive approach excision and laser
TCA Cross - you will need a number of treatments. Space them out 6-8 weeks. This process takes a long time so have faith and patience. The risk is that the scars become wider. The reward is that they may become shallower at the same time.
The recovery will not be fun because you will have scabs for 4-7 days and the scars treated will be red for weeks most likely. This is alleviated due to mask wearing though!
