That is so funny, I was just about to make a post about this in the latest success thread. I've been having good results with just tca 30 on some really old ice pick scars. I'm just testing it out on a small cluster, but I'll post photos once I get it to around 90% improvement. It's at like 65% improvement in the 2 or 3 sessions I've done so far.
I'm quite dark skinned which is why I'm being conservative with the Tca concentration. It just means you have to do it more often.
But yes, it definitely is reaching the dermis. Only if you do the cross method where you poke it into the scar, I'm not sure about over all face peels, but possibly depending on how well it's applied
