I dont know yet. It also depends on when I can get some days off. I will wait 6 weeks at least. I will keep you updated!

I received non-ablative Icon laser and Scarlet Rf treatments. Unfortunately, I did not see any improvement. So now I want to try Fractional CO2 laser. If they have enlarged pores, will it help them too?
I am currently on Accutane treatment. But I also want to heal my scars.

Non-ablative lasers don't really do much for scars. I haven't heard anybody here say that their scars got better from this treatment. One of my dermatologists said that it would stimulate collagen but that's just typical BS that doctors tell patients. In theory, that all makes sense but it never happens.
I'm not high on RF treatments as well. Some people say they got improvement but it's never that great that people stop with treatments.
I haven't heard about lasers improving pore size but I'm no expert.
I may be wrong but I believe Dr. Lim saidyou don't have to wait 6 months after Accutane treatment to get laser procedures. He said studies may be ongoing or something. You need to figure this out yourself because I'm not sure, but there's a video of him saying this.

He shared on Instagram 2 days ago that Fractional lasers can be done during Accutane. Fully said that ablative lasers cannot be made.
I also think fractional anyway.
Yes, Rf and non-ablative lasers were not helpful (of course this is for me), they are true for collagen in theory but they are not enough in practice.
I will search for pores. Dr. Lim had also taken a picture of the ice pick scars comparing it deeply. Maybe if my scars are not very deep, that is, if not an ice pick scar but a pick or a pit scar, perhaps laser will be useful for these. Do you have any idea about this?

Most people should do fractional CO2 anyway because it has fewer risks and recovery times. But, as I mentioned, weak fractional CO2 treatments only rob you of your money. I had some boxcar scars improved by aggressive CO2 lasers. Erbiu and non-ablative lasers didn't do anything. Please make sure your doctor knows how to use lasers, otherwise it will just be a strong microdermabrasion treatment.

Did you get fractional co2 too? or is it fully ablative? How many sessions do you have?

Yes, fractional only for me. I am mixed so my Fitzpatrick is about a III. I had 4 sessions by 3 different doctors. Only the aggressive ones made a difference. The last one was cheap and did nothing.

Seriously, I have no idea what that means or why they even decided to build such a machine. But you want to use laser to basically stimulate collagen production. So my suggestion is to first use TCA to blur out the scar edge from the top, then come in with the fractional CO2 later to stimulate collagen from below the skin.
It's probably Sciton Halo. I'm beginning to wonder whether we need so many lasers.
Do you suggest TCA cross or TCA full face peel to blur out rolling scar edges?
Thanks in advance 🙂

As I said before, with TCA, scarsusually lookworse before getting better. Usually the first 4 weeks, so you should be seeing more improvements from next week on out.
51 minutes ago, Gettinggoodskin said:P.S. What is the best treatment to improve texture?
Try Derminator (1.0 mm needle) + TCA 10% combo. It doesn't have to be Derminator. Any dermapen is good enough. Just don't be too aggressive. Apply TCA 10% soon afterward. Repeat once every week.

Yes, you did! I just wanted to let other people know how it is going. Im patiently awaiting the results.

Thanks! Can you go to work the next day and will it give some result in the long run?

Yes, you can work the next day. There's no redness or swelling, so it shouldn't pose any problem.
I'm kinda experimenting with this myself as well. Been only doing it for 2 weeks, so I can't give any definitive answer. But I like the result I see so far. I believe this will be good for correcting texture issues. And texture is important because bad texture only makes your scars look worse.

The darkness looks faded. If, as Sirius Lee said, recovery will begin after 4 weeks, let's see what results we will see. Keep getting better, great

Thank you
Some new photos. Almost 3,5 months post treatments. Hard to create the exact same angle and lightning, but I did the best I could.

It is as if the edges of some of your scars have softened. Of course, more TCA treatment is required. What are you thinking? Thanks for the update.

No problem. Really hard to tell. Was hoping for more ofc, but I guess have to be patient. Some seem to have softened a bit but also became a little bit wider.

I have also read here that scars become superficial with TCA but enlarge. But if you continue the TCA treatment and get the latest CO2 fractional laser on it, the surface will be smoother and less obvious now. It is important to be patient.

True. I know it takes time, but you still have some hope that one treatment will make a big difference. Biggest problem is that it is difficult to find time to do these procedures.

You're right, I wish it didn't take so many treatments to see results. Time may be an issue, but slow progress is better than doing nothing.
