You never know and I'm sure he'll never reveal his true intentions.

Most people don't see these. They just see his YouTube videos and think he's amazing.

People base their opinion of him off of YouTube videos. The thing with YouTube is that you can delete bad comments and make yourself look reallllllyyyyyy good. You can't delete user reviews on other sites.

My opinion is that most doctors can do the same things these doctors can do. It's just whether they care to get into this space or not. To most dermatologists and plastic surgeons, scar treatment doesn't bring them more money than other issues. This is why you see some of the same doctors being mentioned over and over on this forum because there aren't many scar specialists out there. Also, these popular doctors just know how to do YouTube and talk in front of the camera. Lots of doctors don't want to do this.

Yes, I'm sure doctors can read about medical studies and journals but scar improvement isn't at the top of their list for treatments to perform so they don't spend their time researching. Many don't do subcision or TCA Cross so we're stuck with the people who do.

I agree with your opinion. This is why I go to any doctor in my area that has the scar procedures I look for and consult to see if they fit my needs (I.e. a particular treatment x cost of procedure). Some doctors think fillers is the only method for acne scars in which I know they are not the right doctor for me. Some doctors try to overprice the procedure because they think Im naive and desperate, but what they seem to forget is that Im not attached to any particular doctor, if one doesnt fit me I will go to consult with another doctor until my needs are met. Its like this stupid game they play sometimes to find the most efficient way to profit off you, which is fine, but some doctors focus more on the profit side than the actual patient.

There is one doctor I think is promising, but hes in Korea. He is on YouTube and specializes on burn scar victims but he uses the a method that I dont see other doctors using that I think is groundbreaking for scar revision. Its called the PINHOLXEL method. I think he uses a co2 machine and makes laser holes in a pattern because it makes the skin recover in a certain way. Here is the video.

The doctor has other videos on acne scar but my main purpose with talking about this is to show how I am interested in a particular method and I want doctors in the United States to notice this so that it can be done anywhere or even for medical journals to explore this method. I truly believe its something special. Of course, as you mentioned, this is based off YouTube videos by the same specialist so there could be some sales focused motive there but the method is still interesting. I hate airplanes so I wont travel to Korea to see this doctor unfortunately but he even explains the scar revision procedure with the PINHOLXEL method takes a year and a half of treating the scar every month.

In conclusion, I will do with what I have available here in the states so for now Im quite intrigued with the erbium laser treatment recommended by my current scar specialist.

** I make constant typos, forgive me if you see some.

See that, he does deep micro wounds thatcause skin to tighten, on top of it he uses anormal resurfacing method

What this doctor does is the same method micro-coring wants to achieve. But i think the laser pin holxel technique isless agressive.
Thats a very good technique nonetheless. The results in his channel are amazing, they dont seem to be frauded and they usually take years to make their case reports.
It would be very good to have this kind of treatment with our local dermatologists. Unfortunately, good specialized doctors are very few and sparsed around the globe

Micro-coring? Is there a link you can provide so I can view it?

First of all, WOW! What an amazing, innovative procedure...would love to see studies on this and how the data looks. And would also love to talk to anyone who has or will try this method for their acne scars!

Also, I am in the USA and desperately trying to find doctors who are trustworthy and can produce results. Who have you seen who you've liked? Feel free to message me :) I would really like to know who you've seen / what procedure they did, if you saw improvement. I'm desperate!!

You can see the journey I have documented on my profile (I™m a little new to posts on acne.org so I™m still not sure how to get back to my post unless someone comments on it).

I would love to name drop doctors however I think they would provide very little resource to you because they did the most basic of treatments.

I can tell you that I™ve done a lot of different treatments/procedures and on my main journey post, you can see what worked and what didn™t (with pictures).

feel free to private message me for more specific answers :)
