Hi y'all,
So I did phenol CROSS about 4 days ago and so far all the treated spots just look dark pink/reddish. I don't see any scabs forming yet. The texture doesn't seem scabby either. Is this normal?
I did some search on the forum and people mentioned that with TCA CROSS sometimes scabs don't form until several days later. Wondering if it could be the same withphenol cross.

You forget TCA is considered a medium peel, whereas Phenol is a deep peel. Even with TCA, depending on where it's on the face, it can take up to 7 days toscab. So it's completely normal. Where did you get this done?

I did it with Dr. Rullan. Do you know what the scabs should look like? I keep questions if the darkened skin is actually scab but it honestly looks nothing that the typical facial scabs that Ive seen -Like the ones forming after you picked a pimple or something

Well, It really depends. If we're talking about a tiny icepick scar, then probably a thin crust, if at all. But you will definitely see redness for some time. Scab isn't that important. What's important is how your body heals. Drink plenty of water and take Vitamin C (1000 mg) and Zinc twice a day.
I just did a phenol cross 3 days ago. the spots turned brown and looked like scabs from the first night. maybe your doc didn't do a high percentage of phenol? my Derm was saying theres different percentages- he did a test spot on me 6 weeks ago and used that result to base the strength when I did the full cross a few days ago.today it is still smooth to the touch mostly, but feels like they are going to start scabbing up soon. I look like a leopard!
