Saline Subcision a waste of money?

Just had a subcision with saline session with a dermatologist. I italicize that because compared to my first subcision treatment it it didn't feel aggressive, I didn't hear the popping of the fibres tethering my scar to the dermis, nor did I feel an intense pain. It was literally the dermatologist stabbing my face with an ultra thin needle (no 25 gauge or Nokor) and then injecting salt water into my face which in time will be reabsorbed in 24 hours.

After spending about $1000, I feel like I just wasted my money because it didn't feel nor seem aggressive as my first subcision method. It almost feels pointless to suction my face cause there's no real hematoma going on. Anyway I'm trying to be positive about it.

Did anyone have a positive experience going in with saline subcision?

@gynoscarMy very first subcision 7 months ago was bloody, messy, and noisy. This was one was literally a walk in the park and I feel like I may have wasted my money...

I've had a saline injection only without subcision. I was told that the saline injected intothe acne rolling scarwould break up the tethered band that's holding it down. So we did it on a test area on 1 acne scar to see how it would turn out. The scar filled up and was almost leveled with the surrounding skin at the time right after the procedure. About a day or two later the saline had dissolved. But the scar was still there. Maybe I needed to be treated multiple times but I just did it once. If I had noticed any noticeable improvement I would've gone back to get more. But I decided not to since I didn't notice anything.

Maybe because it's a nokor needle? If youvisualize something sharp as a surgical blade or a nokor needle, it could beslicing and cutting everything in its path. So maybe maybe that's why it felt smooth and not rough during the procedure.

@acnescarcure Yeah, I def didn't feel the needle move back and forth. They were just little tiny pricks in the skin where he injected the saline. Honestly, I will have to be frank, this was for sure a waste of money. I could've done this myself. It's been 12 hours and I can already see the saline be absorbed and the depressions coming back. -_-

Yeah $1000 is something you'd expect to pay for subcision with hyaluronic acid fillers, not saline subcison.

This is unfortunate because it doesn't require much filler to be used as a spacer. You pay for the entire syringe but end up with a lot of unused filler. Also most doctors will miss the scars since the face will be so swollen after subcision. This is why I advise people to wait 2 weeks before gettingthe filler. By then, swelling will have gone down and you could use the entire syringe as a buffer and fill the pits at the same time.
