It depends upon lighting and it depends upon the individual seeing a person with scars, yes?
So in my case when I look at myself in the mirror above my bathroom sink, I think "Oh, I look okay." Then I step just a mere three feet away tothe mirror above my toilet, which is closer to the shower light, and I think "Oh, my God" and not in a good way. And at my gym it seems like every mirror shows my scarring in ways I didn't even think were possible.
Regarding people, if someone is very appearance oriented, they may zero in on one's scarring. If a person doesn'treally care about appearances or maybe even have poorvision, one's scars may not even register.
