Every pimple ends up scarring even though I don't pick or jab at it. I guess this means that the inflammation is high. I've tried using spot treatments (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic, etc.), aloe vera, moisturizer, rosehip oil, and all the rest. But for some reason, the pimple always leaves a scar and hyperpigmentation. I don't even get huge breakouts, just a couple random zits, but they always ends up scarring. I've seen people who get way worse acne breakouts than me and they leave no scars. I'm so confused and frustrated...

same here...i think topicals make u more prone to scarring
Scarring is more linked to an individuals genetical inflammatory-response, so yeah... Something we cant change
However, I have also noticed a tendency for some PIE to linger after going over it with different treatments (areas I wouldn't have usually touched). I guess it's because I am a poor healer and treatments that essentially cause an injury to the skin (for example microneedling) can make the skin worse if you're already a poor healer.
@kitsliv45This is sort of in the wrong sub. Acne is something that has to be stopped before scars can even be addressed.
Be aware ... you comparing is not health mentally. There are people who can put grease on their face and have nothing. Why do we get acne, poor genetics, some have hormonal issues, some gut issues and imbalances. For guys it can be excess testosterone. For girls as well. Then their is fungal acne(if nothing else works with products). It's not a hygiene thing, unless you never wash your face. IT can be from irritation and allergies as well . Your prone to react to the bacteria p.acne this is what creates acne, and thus scars. The skin is not bad for breaking out, it's dealing with deeper issues. Those issues need to be resolved with a dermatologist or why bother with scars, you will literally drive yourself insane as you get more scars or spread bacteria. Treat the cause not the symptom.
You mention oils, ... oils are not good for acne prone suffers. ARe you using acne wash BP or salicylic 5 minutes and wash if off mighty? Are any of your products causing your break outs, stop them all and go supper simple, see if that helps, build up. Are you eating dairy, refined carbs, sugar, ... eat lots of fruit and veggies. Stress causes acne as well and thus scarring. You say you tried spot treatments but you do know you have to prevent before spot treating right, hence the soaps. Take a probiotic.
Derms also have in office acne treatment procedures.
See a dermatologist and get this under control, then worry about scars.
