So I opened this thread to ask if it possible to be proneto scarring or wounds from pimples popped to heal harder because of Vitamin/Minerals deficiency? I started to notice scars that suddenly appear and there was no pimple in that spot and I think it could be especially from Vitamin D deficiency because I started to avoid sun at all cost, not sure this is a very healthy way.
@VladpredescuThis topic is much to complex to say only vitamins and minerals are the issue. Different people have acne for various reasons. Hormones, bacteria overgrowth, gut - food - allergies, Some have excess sebum production, and others trapped follicle plugs. Genetics is a role as well and fungi / bacteria our body constantly fights.
So no vitamin's and minerals are not the solution for everything. It takes a customized approach. What is clear is the body is healing itself(Scarring), as quickly as possible by design to keep out pathogens. Those who are susceptible to the above factors are more prone to have auto immune like conditions where there body fights again't the infection, ... remember other's who have poor diets, and eat crap don't have acne - or scarring.
So sure take you Vit D if you wish, ... this is a synthetic hormone actually and true D is from the sun. The gut and bacteria have a bigger role in healing - Immunity.
@beautifulambitionIndeed vitamins & minerals are not the answer to everything, but I was thinking that the possible deficiency might affect the healing process and eventually being prone to scarring.

But I think genetics is the most important factor.
I saw people with really bad eating habits and smoks that had some pimples but never get scarred
I also saw people with really healthy life and good eating habits which get scarred with a simple pimple
That is true but this is coming from a guy who never scarred from pimples, but after taking 3 months of Doxycycline, I started to notice worse acne coming after and more visible scars. I mean lots of things changed in my body after an infection that forced me to use pills and topical antibiotics to cure it because it was so severe. This would be my personal experience and changes I noticed this 1.5 year.

I know it seems strange but believe me sometimes genetics different aspects appear differently as we get older,I mean when you are young you didnt get scarred because of genetics and also when you get older you get scarred again because of the same genetics.
You can see this different genetic appearance pattern in human hair that some guys hair is wavy when they are kid but their hair become straight as they get older
@Nemesis 89 Ok, I agree, but is really strange in my case because the difference is not that "big". When I refer to my previous acne breakouts when I didn't scar, that would be 1.5 years ago. Until age 17, never had a pimple or it would be only blackhead or little whiteheads. After I hit 18, started to develop some "natural" cystic acne and gotta admit, I popped them and really massacred by poor skin and 0% scarring. After age 19, had a nasty infection all over my face and simply would not go away without topical and general antibiotics(Doxycycline) and my body became weaker and more sensitive to food/sun. Now I am 20 and this is when I experience this "sudden scarring" and lots of other things that NEVER happened before. So it is a 2 year difference. Not talking like I was having acne when I was 10 years old and after passing another 10, I am baffled that there are some changes through my body. I don't know, but I believe that this 2 year difference is not a really big period. Just my opinion, but thanks for sharing the info anyways.

At age 30 or 40 2 years isnt a big period, but at age 17 it is. Your body is passing through a BIG hormonal change, and your body is still developing.
BA pointed it perfectly. Environment, diet, vitamins and all epigenetic factors can play a role in acne and scarring. But your genetics that are playing the mandatory role in it.
