Hi everyone! Ive been lurking around for a little while and everyone on here seems very knowledgeable and helpful so I thought I would make a post about my own scar concerns and see if I could get your thoughts.
I started hair removal of my beard around April 2017. First I had about 3-4 sessions of laser. Then around August 2017 I began electrolysis. About a year later in the summer of 2018 I began to notice skin irregularities mostly on my chin which I hadnt been aware of prior to electrolysis. I continued for awhile but then stopped in September 2018. I restarted again a few weeks ago with a new electrolysis technician and so far I cant tell if the treatments are making the scars worse or not. Unfortunately these didnt show up until a year after treatment so Im guessing I wont know until next year if what Im doing now is causing damage
Ive been looking for advice as to what kind of scars these are and what kinds of treatments would help. It seems like the best choice may be to finish the beard removal followed by some sort of treatment for the scars. I havent done anything for them other than cleaning and moisturizing my face daily as well as using a skin serum and sunscreen.
Anyways, here are the pics on my chin in various lighting. Let me know what you think! I can also upload more if needed.
Thanks so much!!
@Mikey3741Hi there below you will find someone else I just helped with electrolysis. There is a healing period with electrolysis. It looks like some irritation and commodonal acne caused by the procedures, not to be confused with pustuals.
Have you tried a simple skincare routine yet to get some cell turnover? Comodones are treated with retinoids, salicylic acid, B.P. Wash or spot treatment. Phototherapy or hollywood laser peels, ... hydro facials are cheap andalso effective.
Are your follicle units plugged by the procedure she did?
