Just something I found inspirational since there aren't that many famous people with acne scars. Tulsi Gabbard has visible acne scars, and she hasn't let her scars get in the way of becoming a Congresswoman and now her run for President of the United States. If she can go on national TV and announce her candidacy, you can do anything! Plus I still find her very beautiful

Yes maybe her biggest problem is she cant hide or stay at home for downtime of treatments
Wow, thanks for posting this. I was feeling down about my scars (as always) and this helped a little. Its so rare that you see women in the public eye with moderate acne scarring. I feel like it is more acceptable for men to have scars and be considered attractive than it is for women. Comments that acne scarringmakes men seem more rugged, etc. I cant think of one actress who has become famous despite having moderate acne scarring. I see a few with very minor scarring butthats it.
Anyway, Gabbards scarring is very similar to mineand shes still quite pretty so its nice to see.
Just came across this thread. First learned of her during the presidential debate. Her scars were very visible under that horrific, unflattering lighting on stage.
But in recent days, the scars seemedless notable, it looks as though she's gotten fillers as her cheeks are somewhat puffy.
I don't even like to go out with friends sometimes let alone lead a very public life so yeah, good on her!
There are plenty of people who live on with their scars either because 1. they don't have the money or time to invest into treatments 2. they don't let acne scars affect their self-esteem or how they act around people. If youre case 2, great. You won't have any problem in your life. If you're case 1, you'll just learn to live with it over the years.
I have shallow-moderate rolling scars on my cheeks and im going to try 2-3 subcisions with RF microneedling. Even if I don't get satisfactory results, I'm going to stop treating after that. It's not worth my time and money. I'll be attending medical school next year and I'll already have enough debt after finishing:)
