IndianJDermatol_2015_60_5_473_159616_f1.

Hello! I live in a country that no doctor is doing this but my doctor said he can try it. I explained to him how it is done but it would be very helpful if I have more info.
I have read I think everything in this forum regarding floats/elevation but not everything is clear to me.
My main question is how exactly is the scar lifted after the cut is made around it? We will use steri strips but is the steri strips enough to lift the scar?
Dermabrasion and laser is planned for after (if i have the money).
I definately cant afford the money to do it abroad.
Also I couldnt find any pictures for this procedure, would be great if someone has some? Thanks!

Hi!
I think you mistaken elevation/floats for excision/grafts (which are very risky, leave an unpredictable line scar and i probably wouldnt do it even with an expirienced doctor).
This is something else - no skin is cut out and you only get a temporary circle scar. It is extremely simple procedure compared to excision. The punch tool cuts like a cookie cutter in a circle and the skin in the middle is not removed but elevated to be level with the surrounding skin.
Also the image is real, from a genuine scientific research.
There are other researches that show same results and prove this to be a no-risk of worsening procedure. And as I see there is even success with all elevation stories in this forum although most posts are from many years ago.

And this is some asian clinic with different method, I have no idea what they are doing after the punching, looks like maybe trying to break the fibrosys:

Sorry but again you are using wrong terms maybe.
"I know very well what grafts vs punch vs excision andfloat"
I am not talking neither about "grafts", neither about "excision" (both of which terms are extremely specific and even self-explaining).
Also I am doing a lot of treatments on myself but this one I cant because I have a needle phobia and any kind of skin puncture (except dermaroller) falls into this category and I prefer ofcourse a doctor doing it (its very cheap here anyway). I just gave videos that show the procedures and before and after results - because I want the time I have spent researching to be useful for someone else too. There is not a single thing in everything that is deleted here that I see as advice for at-home or illegal treatments. I think everyone should know and understand exactly how the procedure is done and what to expect even if they go to the best specialist in the world.
I have been a member of this forum before (changed email and created new profile) and I have learned a lot from you and other members. But I have made an extensive research on floats and all the scientific studies show 100% positive results. I have read every single post on this forum regarding floats from like 15 years back and I dont see "most people having scar from it", its the opposite. If you look at "excision", well this is another topic and yes, it leaves scars because it means excising skin out, totally different and complicated procedure.
Anyway would love someone who have it done to come to the discussion too.

Just quickly reading the topic without knowing the experience of your doctor, the word 'try' is not confidence inspiring ;-/. There are many, many more disasters with this procedure!Scar elevation should be for BROAD box car depressed scars - punch elevation or float will not give you the exact dimension of the scar, often leading to idiosyncratic terrible looking scarring. If your doctor who want to "try"this - he probably should know how to fix it if things go terribly wrong, go for it. Just be careful, or you may end up with worse scarring, seen many disasters.Post your experience regarding the surgical technique. A expert in something like this is always best.Just be safe... and take care.
