I was on accutane 10years ago. But after 10 years I got one super large and painful cystic pimple on the corner of my chin.

it was there for a year, painfully, until I got sick and tired of it. I went to the dermatologist and asked for an injection for it. She told me to use some cream and put a band aid on it. Anyway the cream did nothing but I decided to use bepanthen with a band aid. That worked. It drew it out and it went. BUT I got a scar. Yes first and only scar. I dont know if its because Im in my late 20s now or what. I got pregnant the month the pimple went too so made hormones stopped it from healing?

ite even two years now. I have had it grow again but then its gone down. Hasnt been a pimple for 6 months.

I tried bio oil, vitamin e and massaging. I found massaging to be ok but hasnt got rid of it. I massaged one too much that I actually peeled my skin away and got a scab but it improved the scar.

My scar looks worse when I am cold but looks almost gone when I wake in the morning.

Wgat would be my solution for this? Dont be acne anymore. I am currently pregnant so use planning on what to do once baby is here because this scar makes me look old.

first pic of me frowning so you see it more. Others are with no expression.

From what I see they look like rolling scars. This can be treated with filler and subcision, you will need a few sessions.

Thanks for the reply. Its just one scar in an L shape.

I live in a small Scandinavian town so subcosion is not done here. I would have to travel 6hrs to find someone.

otherwise I can probably get filler. I know they have c02 laser. Otherwise since its not deep maybe Retin A?

i just want to get info on whats best before I go to dermatologist and as they normally just perscribe what they just like.

Please upload another picture where your scars make a shadow with a flashlight so I can advise better.

I see you needing subcision and filler, you can try just filler if you wish, if it doughnuts, subcision still must be done.

the people here have the choice of the following:

C02 lazer
Peels
creams
dermapen/microneedling

Also if my scar is only a year old is it considered an old scar?

it is still purple, so does it mean Its still healing?

when Im sitting in the car in daylight I can hadly see it, but bathroom light looks horrible.

I have heard no scar treatment is petminate. Is that true?

No that's not a old scar. Depends on the skin's condition that must be felt and observed. New scars often have PIE or redness as they are healing.

Purple means PIE or wounding post acne. You need vascular laser or if your ethnic picosure.

Sounds like you have a discoloration problem which is not scarring but hyperpigmentation.

Checkout the FAQ - top of the sub - skin section - PIE
