Hi i am currently receiving tca cross from a professional. Ive just had my second treatment about a week ago. however i am severely depressed with the texture and how my skin looks with makeup. I have alot of pores and a mixure of shallow boxscars along with little atrophic scars a i want to know ehether anyone else has simimilar scarring and pores and what has worked. Also would fillers work with evening out texture and filling the atrophicness. Any advice will be appreciated! Thanks in advance
P.s after uploading the quality of images is gone down so you cant see the severity . Scares and pores are veryprominent
TCA cross is a very slow procedure, it relies on the bodies ability to heal, you must do several of them to have the picks / pits raise.
Wear a primer that fillers your pores like benefit porefessional or a silicone pore filler.
No filler will not work for you it's too superficial can can cause a bump, you can do on your deepest pits if they are a pencil eraser in depth or more subcision with filler.
Keep doing the TCA Cross, TCA peels over the whole cheek (several). This will take time and month to accomplish, scar treatment is a slow process many do over 3 years. IF you need something more than peels the next step would be RF microneedling as well, but your scarring is very minor.
Tca cross takes mtiple treatments and you say you on 2nd?
it takes a month if healing so basicly once done you font want to do much more till its healed.once the ice pick, boxcar are raised enough, strong tca peel can be used.
you got nothing that needs invasive techniques.just carry on with tca work, scars dont go after one treatment it takes many and months of healing,so dont expect a miracle overnight.
treat, wait healing time, treat again, wait healing time, change treatment method and repeat.
TCA cross will work but it takes time. For me, it was a bit of a cumbersome journey because most of my scars looked deeper and wider before they looked better. This was a bit alarming for me and I did not want to continue but ultimately decided to put trust in my doctor and continue on with the treatments. Now I can confidently say I have only 1 icepick scar left out of the 6 or so that were treated.
My brother had a very bad acne scars and he had to undergo light therapy and steroidsinjection. It took years but his skin looks much better now.

Im on my third tca, improvments have been made. How many treatments of tca have you had??
Will show you the effects of TCA CROSS done properly, yes, it does take time, but if you are indeed seeing a professional, job can be done well within 6 months. 90-100% TCA every 6 -7 weeks, possibly spaced longer if darker skin type. Skin textural changes can be improved with many devices, fractional lasers, needling, RF etc... that is not the rate limiting factor. A good hint is to take serial photos, every month. Same lighting, same position, same exposure, this will help you mentally and emotionally as well- this is called positive re-infocement, and is as important as physically reducing acne scars. I wish you well.

Some scars took about 5 treatments to completely close but 1 very stubborn icepick scar that I have probably had 7 treatments on still hasnt closed or improved to my satisfaction.
