Stopping smoking is generally good fir your health,if you think its bad for your skin and stopping smoking is going to be beneficial then stop smoking but it might not necessarily make your skin improve.
as for needling, you gonna go back to work when your due to go to work or you gonna get in trouble.
depends on who does the needling and how agressive it was.you gonna have redness and slight swelling that can take a day to a week to go away, like i say, that depends on how much and how agressive the needling is.
To add to what quadboy said, you can put makeup on (or spot treat) I'd say 24-hrs to be safe after microneedling, Many microneedling on a friday and are back monday, you may have some redness still but no biggie. Smoking will prolong as Quad said your healing, We don't know your healing patterns or how long you take to heal.
There is a general rule of thumb, never get something done 2 weeks before something, ... what if something goes wrong. To be safe have several months to heal.
And if a person has darker skin like mine, you might get some hyperpigmentation issues. I had Skinpen done on my temple as a test (thank God only there) and two months later its starting to look normal again.
No more microneedling for me. Not only did I have pigmentation issues, but it seems like the skin around my acne scarsplumped up, while the tethered dents stayed tether and darkened. This increased the contrast of high and low areas! I have heard that other needling should have been done, but once "burned" means never again for me.
