I've had this 2 big looking crater on my cheeks for 3 years and have no idea what it is. It's not a boxcar scar because there's no indentation on the skin and I've never had acne there. It looks like it has a identation but my skin feels completely smooth when I run my finger over it
The poster above gave you the right answer, it's PIH or hyperpigmentation not scarring. You can try to treat with tretinorin and hydroquinone and see if it lightens it. Otherwise they will use a laser on this like IPL, Excel V, Vbeam, or 1064nm at a med spa or Dr. Please goto a dermatologist if you have any more concern.
