A physician with whom I consulted suggested that course of treatment (Voluma first, then subcision a few weeks later), but I am concerned that the effects will not be long-lasting because injectingthe filler first will reduce visibility of the scar no compress tethering, which could inhibit the success of the subcision butminimize longer term improvement.
I am probably overthinking this andI trust thisDr, but hisresponse was that the Voluma would be used as a volumizer for the cheeksubstantially below the tethered region of the scar, then subcision would attack the tether.
@NeoFightI would not treat first with Voluma and then subcise. I would say I would like to subcise first as this is what I can afford and then do filler at another time. The only time I would do filler first is if you have majorly fat deficientcheeks they must fill that are not part of the tethering pits.
I don't agree with that approach at all. He's got it backwards. The Voluma will be displaced by the subcision, and would definitely make it harder to do a proper subcision because of lack of visibility of scars (like you said). I would do subcision first, give a week or two for the swelling to settle, and then do filler.
