Acne has never been my problem, incessant skinpicking has, and it has left me with rough, uneven skin that is full of indented scarring. It really gets me down that I have disfigured myself so badly by picking at my skin, although some people tell me they don't really notice it (I think they may just be trying to be nice though). The scars are on my cheeks, chin and forehead. I tried getting three dermaroller treatments done professionally, supplementing with home treatment as well, but it did not have any effect and turned out to be a waste of 1200 USD. I am still determined to improve the appearance of my skin, and I have been looking a little into chemical peels. I've seen the TCA peel mentioned, but this is very expensive where I live (1000 USD per treatment), so I was wondering if anybody had experience with jessner peels or salicylic peels or some other? 🙂
Here are some pictures of my scars. I've tried to catch the shadow of the scars but I probably didn't manage very well, my phone camera is not so good. Also, I am sorry that my skin is so nasty-looking right now, but like I said, I am a skinpicker...
You can do TCA Cross if their are definite borders to the scarred pore macules. You can also spot treat with tca peels the spots. Too low a percentage and it will do nothing, you want to build up to a higher and higher percentage if your skin can handle it. Test it on one spot first. Microneedling like the Derminator machine google it ;-P alternating with TCA when that heals can cause collagen production and softening.
There are other treatments for enlarged pores under skin section in the faq link below in my signature. Look for enlarged pores.
