Hey guys,

I have bought some 100% TCA cross online, and I am having trouble getting my scars to frost. Has anyone had this issue before? I have tried doing this three times, and each time it is the same. I had bought two different TCA solutions online. So I am thinking it has to be technique. I dipped the tooth pick into the 100% TCA solution for over a minute and then i applied it to the scar for 10 seconds, and repeated several times on the same scar, and still no significant frosting. What could I be doing wrong?

Also, I am CROSSing my body, not my face, if that makes any difference. I just want to test it on my body scars before I try it on my face.

100% TCA is strong! IF it really is 100% most sellers online lie about this and buffer it, or have extra water. It's not the same strength as the doctors get who also have Phenol mixed in it. Some of the acid is just shit product.

You are probably not degreasing your skin ahead of time properly. Are you using odorless mineral spirits, the kind from the hardware store, rubbing alcohol works for some but does not dissolve oily, fat deposits on the skin which protect against acid.

Many after this step use a pre peel (before) of another acid like Glycolic or salicylic to break the skin a bit and then do their TCA. Body skin is much thicker depending on the area, so pre-peels are necessary. Please be careful as you can badly burn yourself, do a test spot in a very small place.

I also suggest people buy peels from a reputable company like makeup artists choice who have excellent customer service. but they don't sell 100% only 30% 😉
