Want to try TCA cross at home. Would love to hear your thoughts. What percentage should I try first? 50%? (Pics included)

Basically after looking in the mirror daily I figured I'm an idiot to at least not try something small. I figured I will try TCA Cross on one of my scars and see how the results are.  For those who have done it what do you think is a good percentage to do my first cross with?  I was thinking start with 50% but i'm not sure if there is any safety advantage to the lower percentages.  I would honestly love to hear any feedback on this matter.   I will also post pictures so you guys can tell me what you think.  The pictures are pretty shitty but should give you a decent idea of the scars I am working with.   If you have any other suggestions on treatment methods I would love to hear them!!  Thanks!!

The scars seem to me to be too wide for a tca cross and subcision might be a better option. But as you've said: the pics are too blurry to tell.
If you decide to go for tca crossthen i'd definitely start with 35% and not 50%. The reason is that 35% is probably not going to scar you if you spill a drop whereas 50% might do just that. If you make it through without spilling you can slowly increase the strength the next time.

I appreciate it. Definitely trying to minimize the risk, do you think 35% would still be effective? If I only leveled out the noticeably deep one in the middle by 50% I would sleep a happy man. Also i'm curious as to what would you rate my scars? I will probably be doing some heavy research on local derms who do subcision+fillers when the week rolls around. Anyways I really appreciate the reply.

If those are all the scars you have then I'd say it's pretty mild. Yes, 35% can be effective, it will just take a little longer. Having said that, if all you're concerned with is one scar, I would not go around and play with TCA myself and rather let a derm or plastic surgeon do the treatment, but you have to decide for yourself of course. In any case, I wouldn't go for laser treatment as they have been shown to work very badly on the temple area. I really think your best bet for that larger scar is to go for a consultation with a derm who performs subcision, and 50% is a very realistic goal.

Good luck!

I appreciate it. Will definitely be looking into subcision this week. If I could hit 50% I'd be thrilled.
