So I have severe chest acne and I have been placed on Accutane. My question is will this benefit any of my preexistings scars? And if not, do I in general have any hope of being able to take my shirt off in public again? Anyone else ever been here before?

Hi there, Accutane itself won't heal the scars, but it will allow your body to heal the scars once the acne goes into remission. After Accutane you can have other treatments for the scars like chemical peels, microderm, etc. All of the scars may not completely go away but there will be a great improvement! Stay positive
