How to fix a week old scar with a shallow indent...

After many years of battling acne, it seemed like I was finally over the hormonal hill at age 25. But about a week ago, for the first time in about a year, I wound up getting a HUGE pimple right between my eyebrows (the super painful kind). I'm not sure what caused it - I'm guessing stress. It was driving me CRAZY and I stupidly tried to extract it myself. I did get some pus out, but mostly lymph fluid and blood. It formed a huge, awful scab, so I went to my dermatologist (probably another mistake) to get a cortisone injection to calm it down. I specifically mentioned it was already scabbed over (not sure if that contributed to this - in the past, I've gotten injections only on active pimples) and they said that's fine, come get it injected, it'll help.

The swelling seemed a little better once I got my shot, but not much. Once the scab was gone I was left with a giant pink mark right between my eyebrows. I have been religiously coating it with vitamin E every night for just over a week now. In the past, this would usually fade my scabs/new hyperpigmentation considerably within a few days...this time, I'm not seeing much improvement at all - it's pretty much been staying the same color, maybe just a tad lighter. Even worse is that I have a shallow indent in my skin. Given the obnoxious location of this scar, I'm pretty upset and worried. Cortisone injections and vitamin E oil used to be miracle cures for me in the past. I'm not sure why this particular pimple scar is being so stubborn.

What can I do to make sure this doesn't get worse and what can I do to raise the scar and help the pigmentation? I've read good things about retin A and copper peptides for shallow scars/pigmentation, but I wanted to consult with people on here before doing anything (I'm paranoid now). I'd really appreciate some advice on how to fix this scar, especially since it's pretty new. Thanks everyone!

It's hard to tell without a picture. Mederma, vitamin E, Aloe, anything to keep the skin moist. Pink skin means it's still healing, just be patient

A close-up pic of the scar would help (doesn't have to show your whole face). Retin-a is definitely a great idea. Maybe vitamin C topical. Vitamin E is actually not the best for scars and can produce an irritation reactionfor some. When moisture needed vaseline, aquaphor, infadolanare good instead. Maybe look into microneedling, spot chemical peels and/or subcision. Treatment depends on how wide and deep it is.

It's a healing scar. Ultimately, you will want to stimulate collagen under it. So Spot Vbeam Perfecta or laser Genesis to stimulate collagen and reduce redness that came with the inflammation
