Does anyone have any opinions or experiences with these treatments? I've read everything I can find about each treatment, trying to determine which is the most beneficial. I have mostly ruled out subcision+fat transfer because nothing I have read indicated it was any more effective than subcision+filler. I have almost settled on subcision+suction for a treatment or two, followed by subcision+filler if the result from +suction arenot as good as expected. Most of my reasoning for this decision has been based on the results of people on this forum and the "popularity" of +suction recently. Is +suction just as effective or possibly more effective than +fillers, or is its popularity just due to the fact that it is the cheaper option? If money is not being considered, would +filler be the better choice?

For subcision+suction, it seems a lot of people have chosen to make changes to the protocol from this article:
http://www.owndoc.com/pdf/therapy-in-treatment-of-atrophic-acne-scars.pdf
A number of people seem to have come to same conclusion; that doctor and patient availability is the only reason suction was limited to once a day. Are there any possible side effect beyond prolonged bruising if suctioning is performed 2, or 4, or 8, or x times per day? From the article,"Effective suctioning caused oedema and haemorrhages in the subcised scars and led to ELEVATION OF DEPRESSING SCARS ABOVE THE SKIN SURFACE". Would performing suction frequently enough to maintain the elevation of the depressing scars above the skin surface be ideal?

Whatever you think is best, you should always ask your doctor what's best for you, seeing as we are all different and this really applies when we're talking about scars.

I'm actually on my 3rd day post subcision, been suctioning since 24 hours post-subcision and I' confident results will show. I've been keeping a regular schedule for home subcision and there's a particular scar which i did this on three times that is starting to show some results... It has actually become two smaller scars. Never did fillers but suction seems fine, doesn't ruin your progress or make things worse atleast. You'd be fine suctioning at home and if you've read so much like you say you did you must be pretty familiar with the whole procedure, at least its theory. This to tell you suctioning is perfectly safe and advised by lots of doctors on several papers. Anyway, always ask your own doctor what he thinks is best

I just got subcision with a fat transfer for acne scars three days ago and i am still swollen. Anyone have advice or can you tell me when i will be presentable again? Kind of worried. Minor bruising and no pain. Just soft swelling that hasn't changed since the procedure. Minor bruising started today. Left a message at the office. I have been looking online and it is difficult to find the exact procedure i had done and it's progress. Anyone else have subcision with fat transfer done?

The bruising on subcision can last a month to 2 months. The fat transfer will be overly full, and start to settle down 6 months in. This is why they do top ups to any areas that need it. Swelling creates collagen. To get rid of it take a antihistamine. Vitamin K, and Arnica Montana. Healing can occur with triple antibiotic. They have steroids if things don't settle down after several months.
