I wish I never started the acne.org Regime, my acne was not that bad, and now my face is ruined!
I have never had a sun burn in my life, I was in the pool for 4 hours, and the areas i have been applying BP (face and shoulders) burned really badly. My skin is all dark, the redness has gone, now it's peeling but looks dark and spotty.
I stopped using BP, I was using AHA (glycolic acid) the one from acne.org before and it didn't sting or really do anything. But i've read it removes the top layer of skin, so I almost feel if i use it on my sunburnt skin it will restore my skin.
Please help!!
AHA will not help a burn. In fact it will probably make it worse. Also, it takes a month or two to see results, and they are better long term. Aquaphor is great for burns. Use that and lay off the BP until your skin heals. If it isnt noticeably better (not necessarily 100%) in two weeks, see a dermatologist. You should be fine in the log run though.
You really need to be using sunscreen everyday if you use anything harsh like benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, or retin a. Its non negotiable.
