There are genetics that give you acne. There are genetics that give you your height, body structure, hair density, etc.
And there must be genetics that dictate how your skin heals.
If you have bad skin healing genetics, the show was over before it even began. Not only are the majority of scar treatments ineffective, but your own genetics will prevent you from ever having amazing skin. Some people here might be lucky, the rest are fighting a lost cause.
Sorry but what does this add to any discussion. Besides, yes, it's obvious.
its obvious
but it doesnt mean that ppl with poor healing wont get benefit from scar treatments
beside, every human on earth even the ones with the best healing genetics are susceptible to scarring so its something impossible to define
you can have acne scars and a very good healing capacity, longterm cystic acne leaves scar in almost 100%of the sufferers.,
Even more so I would think the status of our current health, if our body is receiving the nutrients it needs from diet, stress, smoking, infections, age, preexisting diseases/conditions that affect healing, obesity, hormones, medications, alcoholism...
There are hereditary healing disorders and I'm sure genetics definitelyimpact our ability to heal but it's not everything. Besides, genesare turned off and on by environmental factors it's called epigenetics so it's a combination of everything working together. Nature and nurture not one or the other affects how our genes are expressed. Our genes aren't necessarily our destiny.
health/ hormonal profile is far more important like above stated
if you have been/are malnourished/ taken accutane/ have poor sleep / smoke you will not heal well and most likely will scar very easily. Anyone else notice most overweight people have very good skin complexions i think its becasue in a surplus of calories the body is more able to deal with healing whereas very thin/ gaunt people or athletes where they need to be very lean often have poor skin

I agree that a healthy diet is a necessary condition for good skin healing, but you can be lean and be well nourished at the same time . And reverse, overweight people can be malnourished, and often are due to an unhealthy food intake. That people who are overweight often have great skin is more likely due the fact that fat stored in the face stretches the skin, making it look better than it is.
There's a section in this article explaining how obesity can affect wound healing. Maybe it affects the healing of large wounds on the body more than acne scars. It goes into all the factors:

And this one goes more in depth into nutrition:

So many other potential culprits besides genetics. At least we have control over many of them.
I think genetics just have reponsibility for your acne. In my family, my mom also had acne back in the time she was pregnant. Until now, there are just some enlargered pores on her nose, and that is it. In my case, i guess it was because i did not care that much on my skin when i very first suffered them at age of 13. results are lots of scar on my cheeks. If i have children in future, i would care the shit of him to make sure he wont go down my path
