So about 3 months ago I got this cyst to the right of my mouth. I messed with it a little bit then it just kinda went away. A month later it came back and got huge during spring break so me and my dad (btw I'm a 15 year old white male) went to a dermatologist and she prescribed me Accutane 80mg a day and I guess she was expecting the accutane to get rid of the cyst on its own. A week or 2 after the appointment I was able to drain the cyst. And 2 weeks later on a Saturday morning I woke up and the cyst was huge. So I just kinda squeezed it a little and held hot water on it and that day it drained again. And for the next month a purple brownish color has been in that area. Then 2 weeks ago I noticed that it felt like something was forming inside the huge purple spot. So we went back to the dermatologist the next day and asked for a cortisone shot. She some in the old cyst along with another pimple that was forming. 2 weeks later the pimple is gone but the purple mess of the cyst is still there unchanged, although the hardness I felt in there does feel a little different. So I'm not sure if this thing is healing or what but you'd think that the purple would have atleast changed after a month and especially after a cortisone shot. The dermatologist did say that the color would be there for a while but I have taken pictures before and after I drained it and right before the cortisone shot and he had remained unchanged. So is there anything I could or should do to it to speed the healing process up if it even is healing?
