Because it's a business. Tough to find a doctor who cares more about your well-being and effective techniques more than making money on his or her laser.

A good and caring doctor doesn't mean that he'll/she'll solve your problem...he/she might tell you to practice more self-acceptance and not take your money. Does that put you a step closer to your goal? No. You said you've done your research. If you've done it well you'd know that microneedling and chemical peels are the way to go.

Also-its kind of a filtering mechanism-when a dr does not even suggest pdl-I know that this one is not professional
Third-microneedling will not help for red marks. So are peels-unless it is drastic like phenol

Docs are brainwashed robots.

Dont expect them to know anything.

It's us who have to do our own experiments.

So don't let anyone tell you there isn't a solution, there are, you just have to discover them.

Let's not tar all doctors as being money-grabbing bastards here, but I don't think even some doctors with the best of intentions have all the answers either.

It is easy to trust what a doctor says when you don't know any better yourself. Do your research, get informed and then ask the right questions if you do go and see a professional. Helps to gauge their level of expertise and you might even be able to catch them out on one or two things. Sadly, the people I have seen to date don't fill me with much confidence.

That "good doctor"you mention - good luck finding them, that's all I can say.

A good doc will offer some sort of package instead of charging a set price for each treatment they do.

holdingontohope-I have both pitted scars an ice pick, and red marks-but the red marks is my main concern.

All the docs I have seen so far were so greedy. Gave me 5-10 mins for consultaion for 150-200. During the consulation they offered me only one type of treament-specific laser-each one offered the type he has-and when I dared to ask questions-they became not nice.

As I said-I will be happy to pay for a good doc-but I am fed up with paying so much for nothing!

I have dreams of winning the lottery and taking a year long vacation in Australia to let Dr. Lim do whatever he wanted.

Pie, cutting out all grains/rice got rid of all my redness from my scars.

Helps to to mention I don't eat any sugar or processed foods.

holdingonhope-can you please elaborate? you had red marks and they simply went away after you changed your diet? it sounds too good to be true..Can you tell me how you changed your diet and what do you eat?

lol sorry its just really bad .. i need help man. i wake up in the morning with seeious anxiety and all i think about is acne i pray before looking at the mirror hoping not for more acne .. i cant focus in class or study i left my girlfriend i take 30-50 photos a day of my face everywhere i go due to lighting

Your well being doesnt affect your doctors quality of life. Your money does though. Sadly most doctors are this way.

I think its worth mentioning how greedy the companies are that design laser machines. As if they dont make enough by selling their expensive device, they charge a ton for the tips so they can get paid per treatment too. Any time you get a laser, you are paying the company as well as the doctor.

beautiful ambition i have all of that and i do agree with all you said however more concerning than acne is my scars . when i was younger i didnt care this much about acne i cared but to an extent i still lived life because i thought its so common and just a phase . i developed this disorder when i learned about the permanency of scarring 4 months ago . ever since then i count my scars in various lighting and examine every pimple i get hoping it does not scar . atleast if my acne stopped i can just focus on scars . i constantly go clubbing and all i do now is looking at everyones skin .. even if i am totally wasted all i do is examine people skin i can never be happy because i just wish i had scarless skin
