Hi, new here. I have fought with acne most of my life. Now in my 30s, what used to clear up perfect now takes longer and scarring is showing up.
I fight with both pimples and infected beard hairs. Contrary to some recommendations, I pluck bad beard hairs promptly, they usually have a white glob stuck to them, and the skin clears up much faster.
I visited a dermatologist a year ago who said my skin looks great and I do not have acne but pretty much all the pores on my nose are plugged with funk and I have to clear them regularly. She gave me a high power steroid to help with inflamed areas and gave Aczone which is amazing stuff and gets things cleared faster. I also have RetinA .05% but I don't use it regular but do apply maybe once/day to spots.
It seems there is a large opinion of what a scar is so figured I would offer pics. The one closest to my mouth is the worst and has a little depth to it. Recommendations? The Aczone seems to work by forcing the skin to renew faster and peels. Not sure if that combined with RetinA will do it?
See? This is the kind of shitpost I mentioned in your thread... BDD should either be moved to another forum or simply deleted IMO. No place for it here... Besides, there's enough information in the board for this user to know what'd be best for him without having to ask...

yeah youre right except my scars are more severe than this guy and mine are widespread, meaning i have scarring on left temple sides of nose around mouth both aides and mild on forehead ..
I only offers pics and created a new thread because a picture is more helpful IMO. I know people on this forum have tried lots of things but not sure if they are right for me. I don't want to take the fire hose approach if a squirt bottle will do. I was hoping some form of topicals or a mild acid peel might help?
