Has anyone had any good experiences with an clinic/ doctor in the UK? I want to do it, but my own dermatologist does not offer it himself so any recommendations greatly appreciated!

I want to do micro-droplet injections, but at this point it would merely be nice to find someone that is good at filling in acne scars with restylane or so.

Phi Clinic, Tapan Patel. He's basically the main man in the UK for fillers. Although expect a long waiting time, maybe 8 - 10 weeks for a filler appointment.

Thanks!

Although, I looked at his before/afters and he uses people with acne not acne scars to demonstrate. It's not very surprising that they will look less red when their acne is gone, but they don't really have any scarring or what they do have doesn't really get improved.

Yeah, totally. He has all the filler options though, everyone in the industry in the UK looks up to him as the messiah. I've spoken to a lot of people who do fillers for wrinkles etc, friends for example, and they all know him as being the main man when it comes to more difficult treatment, like acne scars.

I had Voluma done there in my temples. 595 for 1 syringe - it plumped out the temples slightly but didn't do much to the scars at all. I was living in hope that 1 syringe would be enough, but in reality I'd need different layers of filler, with multiple syringes. Probably costing around 2 - 3k. I can't afford to pay that every 12 - 14 months.

Oh wow that is super expensive for one syringe! I know lots of clinics that offer 1 for like half of that. Well, yeah me too. I don't know it might just be hype though, I looked at his other pictures and they weren't THAT good. I will keep looking for someone good but with reasonable prices.

Btw though, I think temples are a bit harder right, with fillers? I tried doing a chickenpox scar some time ago located on my forehead (where there was virtually no fat) and it did nothing.

Temples are good area for fillers I was told as it's comment for people to get it for wrinkles there. The forehead is a defo no no, it should never been done there for acne scars as they can pop out the way apparently.

Voluma filler is 595 most places I've looked, it's the deepest of all the fillers. There are other cheaper filler options that you'd probably need, like Juvederm, I needed voluma because my temples are literally hollow.

After I'm done with derma roller, and TCA cross. I'm going to look into permanent fillers like bellafill or the Sculptra option.

IT'S SO FRUSTRATING!!! When I use the derma roller, the slightest big of swelling completely clears all my acne scars for 1 day. That being the case surely some kind of filler can do the same job! AHH!!

I'm sure it will too, that's why I think that doc might not have been the best. I have seen people use 1-2 syringe and cleared a lot of it, I am surprised that it did nothing for you. Have you considered to find someone else? It might just be hype with that guy.

Yeah totally, it was just a budget thing for me, I saved 2.5k for all treatments, and I was down to my last 600 for filler. The Voluma wasn't really to reduce the scarring, it was to get the temples out to normal size again.

In an ideal world I'd have Voluma, then Juvederm layered. But again, that would total 2k every 12 - 18 months. I can't afford that sort of dosh each time.
