Hi everyone,
I come here to have opinions on the technic I mentioned in the title. I try to repair my acne scars since many years. I'm 36. I had lazer ultra-pulsed (CO2) then fractioned lazer. I don t believe anymore in the lazer and I can say that it disorganize dermis.
Life is difficult and all the peaple that have this problem know that. I gave up to look for an other traiment for my scars and one day it comes back, I feel so bad that I must go again in the surgery.
I decided at this moment to try the mechanic dermabrasion to take off a layer damaged by lazer. I discovered elevation scars technic in the same time.
I will have both elevation technic (punchs and excision) then mechanic dermabrasion in one month. And I would like to have testimonys of peaple that still had these traitments.
A member said me to show photos so I attach different pictures of my scars with different lights.
I would definitely look into subcision and suction.
The texture (surface) of your skin looks really good to me but there are major depressions. I think multiple subcisions followed by suctioning at home with possible fillers at the end depending on the final results could give you major improvement without creating new scars. When things are eventually levelled out then you could undergo mechanic dermabrasion to further resurface followed by maintenance home treatments with 1.5-2mm dermastamp, TCA peels (15-25%) and retinoids to stimulate collagen similar to this study: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3996784/
It doesn't look to me like you have any deep icepick scars that will require TCA Cross (high strength 50-100% TCA placed carefully into scars with a toothpick to raise up).
Maybe you could print off this study and ask your doctor if this is an option for you? Doesn't hurt to find out what they think. It is definitely an option for at least some of your scars instead of punch elevating all of them. I'm sure they could easily learn the technique if they read the article. http://www.owndoc.com/pdf/therapy-in-treatment-of-atrophic-acne-scars.pdf
You can purchase a dermastamp or derminator and suction device from owndoc. Whichever methods you choose I hope you see significant improvements and let us know how it goes! I agree that lasers are not appropriate for your scars and think you can achieve great results with the proper treatments. Good luck!

Thank you for your opinions.
Ommmmm, thank you for your indications. Subcisions seem to be effiscient butI can t stop the punchs/excision+dermabrasion now because I had to negotiate with my employer, many months ago to be absent 2 months. So I will do this and see later if problems persist.
That s why I d like to see testimonys from peaple that experienced the same interventions. My hope is to obtain disappearance of some scars and an homogeneity of the skin surface.
FrenchySteph, your problem is similar to mine. I have this kind of scars too, and I'm already 38.Dermabrasions and lasers does nothing with these scars. I had 5 dermabrasions and I don't see any improvement. Opposite, my skin was felt very bad after them.We need subcision and fat grafting is good at the same time. I'm in the process now, had my first procedure Cora therapy in Seoul, which is not subcision but it's very similar and as doctor said, more effective than subcision. Anyway, Iwill see the result after 5 procedures. Wish you good luck!
Keep us posted @FrenchySteph.I think I'llneed a punch graft or punch excision (because the texture is bad otherwise I'd do subcision) followed by mechanic dermabrasion to blend in the future also. Wishing you strength during the long healing process and that you see improvement you're happy with!
Very similar @FrenchyStephbut because the texture of a couple of my worst scars is bad and can't be improved enough with resurfacing instead of being punched out and then elevated (theintervention you're having) they will be punched out and eitherstitched into a hopefully less obvious linear scar orreplaced with a punched out skin graft of good skin from behind the ear, etc. (similar to your intervention but not using the sameskin). Then like youmechanic dermabrasion later to hopefully blend the tone and texture ofthe new scars with the surrounding normalskin. I've donesubcision on some depressed scars with goodsurface texture and it worked verywell to lift them up.
