First time posting on this forum and I wanted to know what sort of treatments can I do to improve the size of my acne scars? I suffered from acne when I turned 16 it wasn't bad it was moderate then once I hit Late 17 I got it pretty bad but it was never severe I had mild acne which I would pop sometimes because I was dumb I deeply regret it now but anyways Here are my pictures I took these under harsh lighting where they appear the most

Hi,

From what I can see, you have rolling and boxcar scars. Some of these scars appear to be quite deep, i would therefore recommend to go for subcision first to get the deeper scars closer to the surface. Once that is done you can even the texture out with a (fractional) laser, preferably an ablative one. This, however, has to be done in a docter's office and can be quite expensive. If mony is an issue for you then you can try dermarolling or dermastamping.

Good luck

Yeah money is definitely an issue how much would subcision cost can you give me an estimate? its weird because in normal lighting you can't really see them or when you look at me face to face you wouldnt know I have scars but in harsh lighting like in the picture you can really tell. I've been dermarolling for about 4 months each month I roll with a 1.5 would that be a good enough length or should I try 2.0 I have seen some results from the rolling.

Like I said it's weird they only show up under really harsh fluorescent lighting. In normal lighting they don't stand out as much and also right after I wake up my skin is visibly smooth.

PresidentGuevara what do you mean, have you seen results from dermarolling on your own skin or just pictures on internet?

I haven't seen the results that I want or expected just yet but I have seen some improvement. Ima continue for a year and see how effective it is. and sometimes I don't believe the pictures I see online so when I say I seen Improvement I'm talking about personal experience

I agree with arte90. Your scars actually look very minor and shallow. Subcision and microneedling and maybe some ablative fractional CO2 laser at the end. I heard many positive things about Fraxel: Repair on this site. If you do all those things i think your face should look perfect. Good luck

I would love if you keep me updated with your dermarolling progress. By the way which needle size u got?
