I've always wanted to try the baking soda thing, but will it be too irritating for me because of everything else I am using? Maybe I could use baking soda instead of the Cosmedicine exfoliator about once a week to start off slow? I don't have inflammed acne, just comedonal.

How long does it take to see some good results? I have been doing this perfectly for 15 days and I have not really noticed much if any difference.

The products used in those regimen are all exfoliating products duchamp, as for the baking soda, it is a disinfectant, I experience slight stinging with it, but it's gone when you wash it off.

Hi guys.

I searched the thread and couldn't exactly find the answer I was looking for so I'll just ask it here.

I have used this regimen in the past but have stopped here and there because I'm just lazy. It works though, but I think its almost too much work if my face already looks alright. Anyway...

I usually would mix the Baking Soda with a mild facial cleanser as a first step in the regimen. I have noticed that using a mild facial cleanser isn't enough for me so I have switched over to Aqua Glycolic Facial Cleanser. It contains ~15% Glycolic Acid I believe. It works wonders on its own but I have not combined the two regimens yet. Instead I just used the cleanser and the egg white mask and skipped the soda + acv.

My question is this: Would mixing the baking soda in with a 15% AHA cleanser negate the effects of both? I'm under the impression that the soda is basic and the aha is acidic (duh) so they would effectively neutralize each other when mixed. If thats the case, would applying them separate work instead? The AHA is not left on your face but absorbed and the excess washed off. Would the acidity linger and neutralize the soda?

Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to be super clear about what I was asking. Thanks all, looking forward to the response!

I was wondering if there is anything to replace the egg whites, I don't like the fact of just wasting a good egg just for the whites.

I will be starting on this regimen soon, looks pretty promising.

However, i have one question: IF after your red marks have faded, should you continue to use this? Or can you stop?

Any people who've tried this can answer this question will be great!

The only thing i havnt done is add the lemon to the egg mask, will this make or break me?

As of 21 days, im not really seeing any real results. I am very discouraged. Nothing seems to work for me. I will stick with it for at least another week or two. :boohoo:

I'm too lazy to try the ACV, but I'm loving the baking soda scrub. My face looks and feels much better.

Thanks for the info!

Initially, I was using Cetaphil then BP then moisturizer + sunblock in the morning. I had dried skin but never flaky. I saw many good reviews here and tried the regimen. However, it didn't work for me, well not totally.

After washing my face with Baking Soda, my face felt soft, but when I added ACV as a toner, my skin got very tied. Although I washed it off after 10 mins, my face continued to get drier. At night, I used the egg white + lemon mask, but instead of moisturizing, on day 2 of the same regimen, my face started to flake. After seeing my flaky skin on day 2 night, I decided that this regimen does not suit me. May be I quit too early but I can't go on with flaky face. So uncomfortable and I felt my skin was so irritated. My face seem to crack anytime. It's so painful.

But I like the baking soda part, so I continued. It means I washed my face with Baking Soda + Cetaphil and remove the ACV toner step, I stopped the egg white+lemon mask, it actually worked on me. The flaking part were almost gone at the end of day 1 after that night of baking soda+cetaphil scrub. On day 2 morning, my face still have some flakes but my skin was no longer tight. I understand I needed ACV to balance my skin PH but it seem that my face does better without ACV toner. Weird??... So I guess different people have results differently. I am only on day 2 using baking soda + cetaphil today. I hope this good result can get better. I will update here at acne.org.

Wondering if anyone has the same fate as mine???

Well.... I have been spending almost 2 hours per day doing this regimen. Still to no avail. Its been like a month but nothing is happening. My skin is soft, but redmarks are the same. I may even be getting a new pimple...damn... I really don't know what else to try because everything ive done so far has not worked, so ill stay with this for a while. Hopefully in time i will see the results im lookin for. Hell 2 hours a day deserves it.

I decided to combine this regimen with my dermatologist's regimen. The problem with my dermatologist's regimen is that it uses too many chemicals, thus drying up my skin (making it flaky) and making it oily at the same time. It also doesn't solve my red marks problem. But it has it good sides, almost no whiteheads and just blackheads on my nose (mostly because of my oily skin)

So in the morning, I'll be using no chemicals whatsoever, just natural stuff:

-Gentle Cleanser

-Exfoliate with Baking Soda

-ACV

-Moisturize with SPF 15

In the evening, I'll be adding some of my dermatologist's medications:

-Gentle Cleanser

-Protein Mask

-BP 5% Wash

-Dalacin in biobase

And right before I go to sleep:

-Stievamacyn (0.05% tretinoin and 4% erythromycin)

Not also forget:

-Minocycline pill twice daily

Hope to see some positive results for my red marks and oily skin.

finally broke down and got all of the supplies for this regimen today. my MAIN problem is red marks. i have abused my skin for years by over tanning and trying to keep my complexion balanced that way. and thanks to a random break out recently i am avoiding the sun and going to TRY to get rid of these red marks for all. I will keep it updated with my personal results. i must say this regimen is brutal for a guy :boohoo: but hey it is what it is.

Hi all

This stuff really works. Even though i did not get rid of my red marks completely...damnmit!

BUT...

By following delna's advice, it works. Took me well , say 2 months to see the difference.

So, don't be lazy, just follow it and you'll see those marks fading away.

I'm asian btw, with very fair skin and here's hoping this regime with dan's will get me cleared up in no time.

Good luck guys.... btw, i think the egg white mask process during the night helps. See a lot of peeling after it dries up.

Nop, i don't. I leave the eggwhite lemon mask for about 10 mins, till it's dried up and you'll feel ur face getting tight, after tht rinse it off with water, and apply dan's BP and moisturizer. tht's all...

acv is best but ive heard others work.

On a seperate note after getting close to two months, my redmarks have not really faded at all. I also added vita k and that does not seem to be working either. I am going to try clinique even better.

Has anyone seen results from clinique?
