How can you tell if your scars are deep or shallow? What's the criteria? I have several scars near my mouth (both sides) due to cystic acne. I scarred in the area where my smile line is so those have blended together and it looks like a wrinkle. I have others that you can't see unless my skin is stretched and they LOOK shallow. What makes a scar deep or shallow? Silly question but I am going to be trying a TCA peel and I hear it helps with shallow scars. What do you think? I have a few more than what is shown (all aren't showing up on camera) but they are mostly that size or smaller. When my skin isn't stretched, I have that stupid line scar. Do you think 12.5 % TCA could maybe help minimize the appearance? I may go up to 18% eventually but that stuff scares the heck out of me. I'd hate to end up with worse scarring!
Yes it worked on some of my scars (about 90% of them) but not all. All of the older scars filled in but there is a 3 year old scar it never worked on (not even a little bit) and a few new ones that are so close together that they have formed that line that looks like a wrinkle. That area that is stretched looked like cottage cheese...there were so many scars but they are gone, thank god. I don't think it works on linear scars. So I am looking for something else to help. I considered laser but they say its the same as dermarolling (as far as results go) and I've read too many reviews where people say it didn't help. I can not afford to throw money away...wish I were rich and didn't have a care in the world.
I'm just looking for something that can improve it by at least 20-30%. I'd like it gone but I doubt that will ever happen....
