Hey, I just wanted to ask TCA users where they buy their peels. I've done a few 15% peels and have had great results. I wanted to do a couple 18% peels a few months apart. I bought my 15% from Skin Obsession, but they jump from 15 to 20 and I'm a worrier and want to just do 18. I know of MUAC and Skin Obsession. I've never searched Amazon or anything, just straight from the brand's website. Wondering what brands you guys use and trust.

I'm enticed by MUACs little kit with the green tea cleanser. But their site kind of cracks me up because literally every product is 5 stars lol. I know companies manipulate their reviews but damn, they usually have a couple 4s or 4 1/2s at least. Just wanted to make sure they aren't shady because I don't want to take any chances with acid.

get the 20 and dilute to 18 with distilled water....easy enough- you are smart to go slow, most of the problems with peels are going too fast, and not spot testing first

I had the 12.5% did nothing, and just spot tried the 20% and didn't frost, so guess I'll have to try to layer it....my skin is really tough

There is a website called makeupalley which has thousands of unbiased (at least I hope so) reviews for different cosmetic brands. MUAC's TCA peel is rated 87% based on 218 reviews, which is pretty good. Unless you have access to professional grade acids (used by plastic surgeons) going for a well known brand like MUAC is a way to go, IMHO. They have a high product turnover and you are less likely to end up with peel that is stronger than it should be. Do not forget to patch test though, you never know how your skin will react to that 3% difference.

Oh I hear you, mine is too. I was so nervous because I started with 15% and never had done a peel before. 15% was perfect. My first peel barely did anything, so I'm glad I didn't go for 12.5. I know for me with every peel my skin gets less tough though, so I wait longer in between. I hope your 20% goes well! Let us know how it goes if you can. I'm curious how much more intensity each step up is.

I think I am going to go for MUAC. I really like their kit. I'll check out the Makeup alley reviews.
