Hello, all! I know there are tons of posts like this, and I'm sorry for adding another, but I'm desperate. As you can see, I have some scarring. I'm currently doing vbeam to take care of the red marks, and my derm suggested Fraxel afterwards, but I'm feeling wary. Will Fraxel be a waste of my time and money? These scars have been around for less than a year if that makes any difference.
I would ask your derm about the risk of texture damage with fraxel. You have some minor boxcar scarring yes, but the texture of your skin is so smooth. If you screw up the texture of your skin, even with scar improvement it wont look good.
I wouldn't do it, I'd do dermastamping every 4-6 weeks on just the scarred areas.
