As most of you know, after all of my research & countless of posts that I have done in the passed few months, I made the decision to have Subcision performed on my scars next month. I am due on March 11. I am very excited to finally get a REAL procedure done on my scars. Thus far, I am very optimistic but prudent as well. Scars are very tricky and results always vary from person to person so one has to be careful not to solely rely on just one treatment modality. I will be following 2 separate protocols that calls for a Microneedling device (Derminator) & a Suction device. Both sold by Owndoc. The subcision procedure will cost $300. I am hoping to achieve 50% scar improvement/reduction whatever you want to call it by the end of this year.
How about you?
Great topic to start- and please keep us posted with the subscision, I keep thinking about it but never get there....
I will continue with the dermastamping I've been doing 1.5mm but I am considering something more aggressive...perhaps I'll move up to the 2.0mm stamp and do that monthly and alternate with a TCA peel two weeks later, but monthly at a 15% concentrate.
haven't heard of the derminator, guess I'll have to get back on owndoc.com, you'll be doing that yourself?
That's exciting! I'd imagine it's a comfort to have professionals involved. Sometimes I get a bit nervous doing just DIY stuff. I don't know much about pricing but it sounds like you got a good deal. Let us know how it goes. I always hear good things about the procedure, it's something I'd consider.
I plan to dermastamp every 6 weeks with a little single needling too. I'm also planning on four 15% TCA peels 8 weeks apart. I really love peels, my hyperpigmentation and skin texture is showing amazing results after two. I just have some major rolling scars along my jaw line and a few boxcar scars on my cheecks to deal with as well.
NomNomWaffles, Robertitoo: where have you guys done the subcision treatment? Did they use tangential/ angled lighting to see the scars clearly? I am struggling to find a good doc for subcision :(..i have been doing enerjet treatments which is sort of subcision and filler with a machine, but not as good as surgical subcision
