Don't do laser your skin seems like it's already been through a lot unless you find a really good derm/laser surgeon that strongly reccomends it. Tho most are just looking to take your Benjamins! Lot of roughness around the actual scarring. If you don't have a lot of money I suggest prepping it for a month with a light peel and after that, alternating between 15% TCA and 1.0-1.5 micro needling, preferably the stamping method, for a year and 6 months before you consider laser. The best route would be getting subcision and opting for either Filler and or Suction method.

And wear sunscreen

The picture is really blurry. It looks like you have a combination of ice-pick, rolling and possibly box car scars. The best approach is to do several different forms of treatment. Subcision/suction, dermarolling and strong chemical peels have been helping me.

For any one who cares a wk ago after I posted this I read about self subsision and decided to carefully try it. I used a very thin diabetic needle because I didn't want to cause more damage. Well it's been a week and so far it's been a huge improvement. I'm also scheduled for traditional fully abalitive co2 on Jan. 2nd.

Good to hear you're getting some good results. Subcision is one of the most effective/inexpensive treatments for acne scars IMO. Good luck with the co2!

Traditional fully ablative co2 laser does not work for acne scars, and it can cause hypopigmentation, sensitive skin, orange peel texture, large pores, new scars. I had all of those problems.

Just read the posts written around 10 years ago on fully ablative laser and get to your own conclusion. Fully ablative lasers were popular back then and there are a vast amount of post about them. Too many horror stories.

Honestly those scars are not deep, improving the texture of your skin would probably help the appearance a lot, make sure your skin is getting plenty of moisture, sometimes when my skin is dry or dehydrated my scars can look worse, I'd say mine are similar to yours over a smaller area at the bottom of my cheek. Have you tried a retinoid cream? I have used differin for over a year and notice a big difference in texture and smoothing out of my scars. I wouldn't do anything too invasive I really don't think you need it xx
